Fall Trends 2014

As sad as it is to say…summer has finally come to a close. No matter how much we try to keep our summer clothes in rotation and holding out hope that we will get one last blast of summer weather – we now must come to the realization that the cooler weather is rolling on in. With all honesty, fall is the one season that we look forward to – from seeing the leaves transition into their bright bold colours right down to baking pumpkin pies (which also reminds us that it’s time to start planning out the Halloween costume!) Aside from all of those great things, fall fashion has always been one of our favourite seasons as we get to be more creative with our outfits and not have to worry about the heat or the snow coming down on us. They don’t call it the layering season for no reason! Today, we put together our Top 5 Fall Trends which we all can start wearing now. Since the weather is just starting to creep into those cooler temperature digits, this is the perfect time to still show dome skin and not freeze your butt off!

1. Different Shades Of Green.
From emerald to moss, you can wear this colour from head to toe or as a pop of accent colour. If you have dresses, tops or pants from your summer outfits, don’t store them away yet. You can definitely still get some usage out of them by adding some layers to keep you warm.

2. Sneakers.
It’s all about comfort with a touch of style. Look for sneakers that are predominantly white, just so it’s easier to pair with any outfit you may put together. If you’re looking to make a statement or even experiment a little go with a colourful bold print. But, make sure that your outfit is nice and simple so that way your sneakers stand out.

3. Minis.
Summer is over but it doesn’t mean you need to stop showing off your legs. Turn it up a notch by wearing minis this fall with a pair of booties or over-the-knee boots. If you feel kind of chilly throw on a sheer stocking to keep your legs warm but enough to see your natural skin tone.

4. Menswear Inspired.
Suits have always been a trend in the women’s fashion world. It comes in variety of styles from fitted crop jackets with a pencil skirt or trouser. But this fall, womens suits are looking more and more like what our father or boyfriend wears – long and over sized jacket with pleated trousers. Find a suit with a soft material and pale colour palette to give it more of a feminine touch.

5. Knits From Head-to-Toe
You can now pair that knitted sweater with a knitted skirt, shorts or pants. The complete knitted look from top to bottom will not only keep you warm and cozy but also give you a chance to be creative with prints and colours.
