Tips and Trends | Four Rich Red Lipsticks for Valentine’s Day

Whether you’re single or taken, you can still create some romance in your life on Valentine’s Day. Maybe it’s cliché, but I love wearing red lipstick on Valentine’s Day. It’s so dramatic and eye-catching and creates a glamourous look that can get anyone in the mood for love.

Shopping for the perfect red lipstick is not easy. There’s like a gazillion out there to choose from. There are 4 that I absolutely swear by. These four are complementary to everyone, and they each have their own little flair.

1. Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Pomegranate
I’ve mentioned this one in another post. I am obsessed with this lipstick. This is the colour that achieves that deep rich velvety red lip. It’s also all-natural and does not test on animals. The only downfall is that it bleeds, so you’ll need a liner for this one.

2. NARS in Fire Below
This is known for being the perfect shade of red because it claims that it looks good on everyone. I agree. Wanna know why? Because it’s actually the shade of human blood, and it took 7 years for NARS to perfect it.

3. MAC in Russian Red
This classic red lipstick from MAC is a great colour and wears really well. It’s THE classic red and it will never let you down. It also lasts on the lip quite well too.

4. Revlon Matte Lipstick in Really Red
This was my first red lipstick purchase and I still turn to it to this day. It’s a matte lipstick, so it does have a velvet look to it (think Bite Beauty but without the sheen). Make sure you exfoliate your lips before applying, and it will look flawless.
