Tips and Trends | Your Guide to a Stronger Brow Game

These days, girls are all about a strong brow game. It’s everywhere. And suddenly, if you never really paid attention to your eyebrows other than plucking the stray hair or going to your wax appointments…you’re just not a brow team member.

The truth is, brows can completely transform your face. They can make you look younger, define your features, and make your eyes stand out more. If the idea of spoolies, eyebrow pencils and taking scissors to your eyebrows have scared you before, this brief guide will help you at least get started. My number one rule to following this guide is that practice is key. I recommend practicing on days you’re not leaving the house because your first trials are going to look a little odd.

Here we go!

Get the supplies:

To get started, here are some basic tools.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.
This is the easiest eyebrow pencil you will ever use. Use the spoolie to groom, and the pencil when applied with light pressure goes on feathery and easily to look natural. This is the first tool you should use when you start working on your brow game.

2. Benefit Cosmetics Brow Zings
The pressed powder is perfect for filling in brows. You can either try this before you go with the pencil to get used to bolder brows, or use it with the pencil to fill in your brows and soften the look.

3. Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer
When you’re finished sculpting those brows, dab concealer in the arches for a more defined and cleaner look. Your brows will appear more sculpted when you do this. I like Rimmel’s concealer, but use the same concealer you apply under your eyes for a good match.

4. A Good Tweezer
You still need to tweeze stay hairs, so keep a pair of tweezers handy.

Whenever I’m trying a new beauty regime, I always consult my favourite beauty vloggers. They give visial step-by-step advice. Here are some great videos on how to start getting eyebrow gains:

Start Practicing:
You’re not going to get it on the first few tries, and it’s going to feel like you have super dark eyebrows. Keep at it every day and you’ll start to feel more comfortable with it!
