Winter Faces: A Pop Of Colour

winter faces

Now that freckles are no longer scattered across faces and tans are fading, it’s time to change up our look for winter. In the summer it’s easier to go make-up-free or keep it to a bare minimum and get away with it for any situation. However, you can still get that bare look while still enhancing features and having fun with it.

I came across Rimmel’s Kate Moss 110 lipstick at the drugstore and I immediately fell in love. I was looking for a way to replace the usual red lip during the winter months. Who says you can’t have a bright lip during winter?

This is one of my favourite looks right now. I’ve tried this look for several occasions: work, dinner, and running errands to see what kind of reaction I would get. Everyone loved the lipstick – and it worked for day and evening.

Products You Will Need:

L’Oreal The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner

Rimmel Extra Wow Lash Mascara

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipstick in 110

winter make-up

Eyes:
Blend White Chocolate (matte) over entire eyelid up to the brow. Then brush Champagne Truffle over the eyelid. Don’t exceed the crease. Dab a little in the inner corners of your eyes.

Tight line the lash line with the liquid eyeliner. I only do this at night to add drama to the look. Otherwise skip the liner.

Add a few strokes of the mascara to your upper and lower lashes. This mascara is great for creating dramatic lashes and I often skip eyeliner when I use it.

Face:
Apply an even amount of foundation across you face and blend into your neck to prevent the foundation line. Apply the Bare Minerals bronzer lightly all over. It’s a really nice colour and as long as you blend it into your neck as well you shouldn’t look like a life guard who’s been out in the sun all day. If your skin is fair, only apply to areas the sun hits (cheeks, left and right of the forehead, chin, and nose) just ever so lightly. The bronzer will complement the lipstick. Next take a contouring brush and use the Soleil bronzer to contour cheek bones, temples, forehead, chin, and neck.

Lips:
Don’t be scared of this gorgeous colour. It’s a really flattering colour and it looks beautiful. Apply to your lips and off you go!
