Male Celebrities

On Tuesday, January 13, Hollywood’s top celebrities came together for the 2015 Golden Globe Awards where all gathered in high style. Thousands of viewers watched the award show to see who would win in each of the categories….But I was mostly looking at what type of suits the men were wearing. At a quick glance, you can see that the majority of actors are wearing a black tuxedo, with either a bow tie or a regular tie and a beautiful pair of cufflinks. I have mentioned in my blog before that men’s fashion focuses on the little details to stand out and they have definitely succeeded.

From vests to cufflinks to different pocket square folds here are my favourite outfits from the Golden Globe Awards:

Matt Bomer
Matt Bomer
Actor from The White Collar did not wear your typical black and white tuxedo. He wore a navy suit from Ralph Lauren with Tacori cufflinks and was a stunner on the runway.

Jake Gyllenhaal

First of all, you can never go wrong with Jake, second of all his structured tuxedo is very classic however the one item that stands out is his pocket square where he folds it into a three-fold pocket square.

KevinHart
Kevin Hart
I definitely think he is going to start a new trend with his suit. It definitely stood out as he rocked the red carpet with white seams on his tux. When I see this suit however, I think of pinstripe suits from the 1920s. Is it a potential trend to come back? What are your thoughts?

Matthew McConaughey

I would say that this outfit was a very bold yet stood out in a good way. The actor from Interstellar wore a raisin hued coloured three piece suit from Dolce & Gabbana and it definitely got the photographers going when they saw him walking down the runway.

Adam Levine

Again even the smallest details makes the biggest difference and Adam exemplifies this as he walks down the runway with his wife, wearing a smoky black Dior Tuxedo with a bow tie. However if you look at his dress pants, there is a strip of black silk that differentiates his tuxedos from the rest.

What are your thoughts on these new suits? Are they going to be the next suits you see on Bay Street? I personally hope so! The 87th Academy Awards will be taking place February 22 and I am very interested to see if some of these trends continue! Share your thoughts in the comments!
