Outfit Of The Day: Featuring Our Mackage Winter Coat

Over the past few years, Mackage outerwear has grown significantly and has become one of the most wanted fashion brands for both men and women. This success can be seen as major retail chains such as: Aritzia, Harry Rosen and Sporting Life – just to name a few – have begun to carry this brand and have since increased their inventory as per demand. You can also pretty much guarantee that as soon as one reaches a consignment shop, that it would only take a matter of minutes before it’s gone. Luckily, we sisters – who pride ourselves at consignment shopping – saw one up for sale online and acted as quickly as possible, ensuring that we’d get our hands on it. Now, possibly due to the excitement of knowing that we’d finally have a Mackage within our possession, there was one thing that we overlooked – the size. As most consignment stores have a pretty reasonable return policy, we at least had the option of returning it. But, we had something else in mind…we decided to ask Momma Pham to have a look to see if she could alter it.

With this warm, black Mackage coat being a little too long for us, Momma Pham had no issues in hemming it to the perfect length for our height. Once altered, this coat no longer looked heavy nor big on us, it looked perfect to-a-tee. What we can truly say we love about this Mackage winter coat are the minor details which the lapels and belt bring. With such simple details such as these it made wearing this coat for any occasion – from running errands, to going out at night or even to the office – that much more practical.
